Where I live: I live right behind Susie Q Malt Shop in Rogers. I really like it because it’s so close to downtown. I live in a cute, quaint neighborhood with all the more historical houses in Rogers. It’s actually a mother-in-law apartment, so it’s built on top of a garage. I like that it’s an upper-level apartment. I painted all the walls and put in hardwood floors. It’s very shabby chic.
Occupation: I am a photographer. I’ve been taking photos since I was 13. I started shooting for Anna Cottrell of Tulip Louise [last year]. I’m now the full-time photographer for Lola Boutique. I’ve also shot photos for Mod Boutique, Black Cherry Vintage and Uptown Eyes. Fashion and weddings are my two biggest things.
My favorite space: There’s one corner in the back that has three little windows.
Why? I really like that space. I have a little chair set up over there. Obviously, as a photographer, light is very important to me. It just sort of makes my mood. The light coming in those windows is very calming to me, so I like to sit there. It’s a good place to work.
If I could do one thing to improve this space I would: Add another room to do studio work.
