Fall kills owner of NWA Steel Co.

HOT SPRINGS - The owner of NWA Steel Co. of Springdale died after falling from a building under construction at 5526 Arkansas 7, south of Hot Springs, at about 1 p.m. Thursday.

James William Taylor, 65, of Garfield was pronounced dead by Deputy Garland County Coroner Jason Neighbors at the site, a Garland County sheriff’s office report said.

According to the report, Taylor and a co-worker were working on top of the building installing a metal roof. Taylor was carrying a piece of roofing and fell off the building when he bent over to lay the roof piece down.
