Beaver Lake: Most crappie have finished spawning on the south end of the lake and have moved to deeper water, said Mike McBride at Hickory Creek Marina.

Crappie are biting minnows or jigs 10 to 12 feet deep, he said. A good jig color is a chartreuse tail with a black or red body.

White bass are schooling near Point 12 and are biting small top-water lures.

Stripers are biting shad upstream from Eden’s Bluff.

Use plastic worms or crank baits for black bass.

Try nightcrawler rigs for walleye in the Monte Ne area.

Jason Piper at J.T. Crappie Guide Services said most crappie have spawned. Fishalong creek channels or runoff channels 8 to 15 feet deep in water that is 20 to 25 feet deep. Curly-tail grubs are the best lures.

Good areas to fish include Avoca Hollow, Prairie Creek, Monte Ne, Eden’s Bluff and Pine Creek.

White bass are biting in the backs of coves on shadimitating lures.

Night fishing under lights is improving along bluffs and under the Arkansas 12 bridge. Use minnows 10 feet deep.

Aaron Jolliff at Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers said top-water fishing for black bass is good in the Rocky Branch area. Anglers are using mainly Zara Spooks or Red Fins. Surface fishing isgood all day on some days, he said.

White River below Beaver Dam: Tom Steinke at the Beaver Dam Store said trout are biting Power Bait and worms. The top lures are small spoons in silver or gold/ red. The best flies are scuds and sowbugs.

White bass and walleye are being caught in the Houseman Access area on Rapalas. Power generation is mainly in the afternoons.

Lake Fayetteville: Dolly Black at Lake Fayetteville boat dock said bluegill are biting crickets or worms. Try jigs or minnows for crappie. Spinner baits are working for black bass.

Lake Sequoyah: Mike McBride at Lake Sequoyah bait shop expects the lake to be muddy this weekend after the rain of midweek.

Catfishing should be good with liver or shad.

Crappie fishing was good last week with jigs. Bass fishing was good with spinner baits last week.

Lake Elmdale: Lucky Key at Duck Camp Fishing retreat said black bass are biting spinner baits or plastic worms. Lance Courtney caught a 6.5-pound bass last week on a plastic worm.

Crappie are biting near the boat ramp on minnows 18 inches deep. Bluegill are biting worms 6 feet deep.

Prairie Grove Lake: Dennis Kruse, lake manager, said bluegill fishing was excellent last weekend.

Crickets or worms worked best. They also worked for catfish.

Largemouth bass fishing was slow, but a few bit plastic worms. Crappie are 10 feet deep and biting jigs

Lake hours are from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Only padlecraft or electric motors may be used.

Swepco Lake: Kenny Stroud at BW Outdoors in Siloam Springs said black bass fishing is fair with plastic worms.

Siloam Springs Lake: Stroud suggests using top water lures or plastic lizards for black bass.

Bella Vista: Justin McClelland at Hook, Line and Sinker in Bella Vista said black bass fishing is excellent on all Bella Vista lakes with Bass X jigs, spinner baits or Zoom Flukes.

Upper Table Rock Lake: J.D. Fletcher at Eagle Rock, Mo., said black bass are biting wacky worms, tube baits or crawdad-colored crank baits fished along gravel banks or along points.

Eastern Oklahoma: The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation reports good fishing for largemouth bass at Grand Lake on soft jerk baits or jigs in shallow water.

Catfish are fair on cut bait.

At Lake Eucha, largemouth bass are biting jerk baits near grass beds.

Crappie are fair on minnows or jigs.
