Memorial Day Events
Sunday
• 2 p.m. — Douglas Cemetery Memorial Day service. Located east of Highfill, north of Arkansas 264 (Healing Springs Road) on Douglas Cemetery Road. 479-790-2100
Monday
• 9:30 a.m. — Bella Vista Memorial Garden Cemetery, north of the intersection of Lancashire Boulevard and Buckston Drive. Attendees are asked to carpool and bring lawn chairs, if possible. Display: 22 large flags line cemetery roads. Speakers: ROTC cadets from the University of Arkansas. Music: Choir from the United Lutheran Church of Bella Vista and the Persnickety Singers and Sandy O’Neal. Ceremony at 10 a.m. led by VFW Post 9063.
• 10 a.m. — Fayetteville National Cemetery, 700 S. Government Ave. The venue and parking sites have changed. The event tents will be on the lower circle of the cemetery. Parking will be available off Hill Street, and guests may also walk in the Hill Street gate, one block west of the cemetery.
