Anniversaries

Linda and Max Cooper of North Little Rock celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a luau attended by family and friends at their daughter’s home and a trip to Hawaii. The couple were married May 3, 1963. She is the former Linda Goodwin and a retired registered nurse. He is a mechanical engineer with BEI Precision Systems in Maumelle. They are the parents of Sonia Powers of Little Rock and have three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

VILONIA - Ann and Wayne King will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday with a reception at Centerpoint Free Will Baptist Church. The couple were married May 17, 1963. She is the former JoAnn Haner. He is retired from the Pine Bluff Arsenal. They are the parents of Jeffery King of Vilonia and Sharon Holsted of Benton. The couple have four grandchildren.

HEBER SPRINGS - Dorothy and Wetzel Stark celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner. The couple were married April 23, 1953. She is the former Dorothy Dixon. He is a retired county and circuit clerk. They are the parents of Phil Stark of Heber Springs. The couple have seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

BRINKLEY - Darlene and Doug Hunt celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a luncheon in the fellowship hall of Brinkley United Methodist Church with immediate family and close friends. The couple were married April 19, 1953. She is the former Darlene Johnson and a retired teacher. He is director of Brinkley Housing Authority. They are the parents of David Hunt and Barbara Miller, both of Cabot; Mary Meacham of Monroe; and Steve Hunt of Brinkley. The couple have 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

BENTON - Remona and David Roberts will celebrate their 50th anniversary with family and friends in Corning. The couple were married May 10, 1963. She is the former Remona Smith. Both are retired from Bryant Public Schools. They are the parents of Melissa Landreth, Karla Roberts and Sharla Robertson, all of Benton. They have five grandchildren.

Ruthie and Maurice Johnson of North Little Rock will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at Copeland’s restaurant with family and friends. The couple were married May 13, 1963. She is the former Ruthie Pinnacle and director at We Care Adult Day Care Center. He is retired owner of Johnson’s Auto-Body Shop. They are the parents of Tyraine Williams of North Little Rock and Reginald Johnson of Sherwood. The couple have eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
