Truck driver killed in Washington County wreck

A truck driver was killed Thursday night when his truck flipped over in southeast Washington County, according to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Jerry Harvey, 56, of Springdale, was pulling a trailer loaded with empty poultry containers, according to the news release. While going around a curve on Hazel Valley Road, he crossed the center lines, the news release stated.

When he tried to gain control, the load in the trailer shifted, and truck and trailer flipped over. Harvey was transported to Washington Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries, the news release stated.
