Kayak Workshop Held Sunday

ROGERS — Hobbs State Park-Conservation will offer a kayak work shop Sunday taught by an instructor for the American Canoe Association.

Participants will learn all aspects of paddling while exploring a calm area of Beaver Lake, according to a news release. Recreational kayaks, paddles and life jackets will be provided.

Space is limited, and open to those 16 and older. Bring a sack lunch, drinking water and sunscreen and dress for the weather.

The workshop is set for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and will begin at the Visitor Center just east of the Arkansas 12 and War Eagle Road. Cost is $50 per person; registration and prepayment required. For more information and to register, call 479-789-5000.
