Star Program Set For Friday At Hobbs

Stuart Riley, who holds a doctorate in astronomy, will host the program “Roadmaps in the Stars” at 8:30 p.m. Friday at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area.

Riley said in a news release he will discuss 88 constellations, including Orion, Taurus, Gemini, Pegasus, Hercules, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Ursa Major. Night viewing follows classroom instruction.

Participants are asked to bring a folding chair, a flashlight covered by red balloon or red cloth and binoculars.

The Visitor Center is just east of the Arkansas 12 and War Eagle Road intersection.
