Man killed in Fayetteville construction collapse

— A 20-year-old man died at an apartment construction site south of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard across from Fayetteville High School.

Brannon Rhine, 20, jumped into a large dirt hole after crews hit a sewer line, said Sgt. Craig Stout.

The dirt hole collapsed, trapping Rhine inside. He was unresponsive when emergency crews arrived, Stout said.
