Where I live: I live in Little Rock’s Heights neighborhood with my husband, Robert, and our two children, Ella and Robert III. Ella is in first grade at Forest Park, and little Robert is at Westover Hills Preschool. We love our street, which is one block long and has only eight houses on it. We are a close-knit community.
Occupation: Realtor at Coldwell Banker Rector Phillips Morse.
My favorite space: Our backyard.
Why? The backyard is a place where we can all gather. My husband loves to grill and play music, and usually the neighbors will pop in. Actually a lot of time we join forces and have a huge meal outside. We have experimented with urban farming, but haven’t had much luck. I do have a rosemary bush that I haven’t killed yet. During the spring and fall, the backyard becomes an integral part of our house. It was also beautifully landscaped by the previous owner, so all the azaleas and other plants are well-established.
If I could change one thing to improve this space, I would: Love to update our detached garage. It’s not in the best shape, and that space could be better utilized. I would love to have a vegetable garden. We have an amazing shade tree in the backyard which is great for us, but too shady for most plants.
