Birds To Be Celebrated At Hobbs

ROGERS — Birds will be the topic of the day Saturday at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area. Family-oriented activities are planned at the Visitor Center from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday.

The schedule includes:

• 9-11 a.m.: Birds and Breakfast. University of Arkansas representatives will catch, band, measure and record data on birds.

• Noon: Beginning Bird Watching. Includes a short hike with a staff interpreter. Bring binoculars.

• 3 p.m.: Raptor Rescue. Lynn Sciumbato, wildlife rehabilitator, brings raptors including her favorite, Igor, the turkey vulture.
