HOT SPOTSAKE CONWAY Bream are biting well on worms, crickets Lake and small jigs fished around Pierce Creek and Adams

Ashbaugh Lake. Crappie fishing is excellent using minnows and white Crappie Stinger jigs fished in Gold Creek, Lake Cove Creek and Palarm Creek. Bass are biting well Charles on spinnerbaits, jerk baits, buzzbaits and Black River St. Francis soft-plastics around Paradise Landing and River Brandon’s Landing. Catfishing is good using minnows and night crawlers all over the lake. GREERS FERRY LAKE The water level is falling, NORTHEAST & and fishing has been off the charts one day EAST-CENTRAL and not so good the next. Bass fishing is good with the Alabama rigs, swimbaits, Rat-L-Traps and jerk baits around deep ledges and points. Crappie Horseshoe are hitting minnows and jigs fished as deep as Lake 18 feet, depending on the temperature. White bass

Arc and hybrids are scattered. Bream are starting to show up shallow and are being caught on crickets and small crankbaits. Catfish are being caught around baitfish.

White LAKE MAUMELLE The water level is at full pool and water is River steadily flowing over the spillway. Largemouth bass are biting

Creek fairly well on jigs, jerk baits and Rat-L-Traps around rocky points dropping to 20 feet deep. Spotted bass are being caught in the main channels 24-30 feet deep on jig head worms and swim baits.

Crappie are biting well 10-20 feet deep on channel edges with cover.

Bream are biting well on worms fished at the edge of the channel.

LAKE OUACHITA Black bass fishing is good using football jigs, swim baits and Alabama rigs with shad- or crawfish-colored baits. Walleye are up the rivers and major creek basins for the spring spawn. Stripers are biting very well on Alabama rigs with three- and four-inch shad-colored swim baits or live bait. Crappie are biting well near and over brush. Catfish are being caught on cut bait and live bait on jug lines and trotlines set 20-30 feet deep.

SPRING RIVER The trout have been big and plentiful. Brownies, Guppies and Y2k Bugs have been the hottest flies. Candy corn and hot pink Trout Magnets are doing great too.
