Renowned jazz vocalist, songwriter, arranger and educator Rosana Eckert will visit the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith on Friday. Eckert will offer a vocal clinic at 10 a.m. that day and perform with the university’s Jazz Band and Jazz Catz that evening at 7:30 p.m.

Both the clinic and the concert will be held in the Arkansas Best Corp. Performing Arts Center at the Fort Smith Convention Center. The vocal clinic is free, while admission to the concert is $8.

Tickets for AMP show on sale Friday

Old-time country band Old Crow Medicine Show is scheduled to perform at the Arkansas Music Pavilion in Fayetteville May 4. Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday and cost $32-$77.

The band has toured the world and sold more than 800,000 albums. They are frequent guests on A Prairie Home Companion and at festivals like Bonnaroo, Coachella and the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival.
