Deputies Search For Stabbing Suspect

Washington County deputies were looking for a bald-headed man with a brown goatee whom a woman says stabbed her about noon Monday in the northwest corner of the county.

Kelly Cantrell, sheriff’s office spokeswoman, said the woman said a man stopped at a residence on Osage Hog Farm Road near the Benton County border. He asked a woman for directions and tried to force his way inside the house.

The woman was stabbed with an unknown sharp object after a brief scuffle, Cantrell said.

Cantrell said the woman did not recognize the suspect. Her description was a white man between 6-feet and 7-feet tall, medium build, wearing blue jeans and a dark blue hoodie, according to Cantrell.

Investigators believe the man was driving a dark blue, two-door, older pickup that possibly has an extended cab. He was thought to be traveling north into Benton County.

Cantrell would not say where the woman was treated for her injuries or what her condition was.

Cantrell said the man is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
