Taylor King law relocates to Springdale

Personal injury law firm Taylor King has relocated its Northwest Arkansas office from Fayetteville to Springdale.

The new 3,500-square-foot office is at 808 Sunset Ave.

The five-person staff includes attorneys J.D. Hays and Alan LeVar, case manager Ricky Irwin, intake specialist Sandy Harvey and case manager Lilia Carrillo.

LeVar is a litigation attorney who joined Taylor King in 2004. Hays joined the firm in 2010. Both men are graduates of the University of Arkansas School of Law.

Taylor King is headquartered in Arkadelphia. In addition to Springdale and Arkadelphia, the firm has offices in North Little Rock and West Memphis.

JMARK lands on CRN’s Tech Elite list

JMARK Business Solutions was recently named to CRN’s third annual list of the Tech Elite 250. Companies on the 2013 Tech Elite 250 list represent an elite group of IT solution providers that have invested in the training and education needed to earn the most advanced technical certifications in the IT Channel for data center or cloud.

In compiling the list, CRN editors worked with the UBM Tech Channel research group and a team of outside experts to define the most customer-beneficial technical certifications in the IT channel. These technical certifications have enabled solution providers to deliver the most premium products, service and support to their North American customers.

JMARK is a technology solutions provider using products primarily from Microsoft, Cisco, SonicWall and HP.

Company headquarters are in Springfield, Mo., and its Arkansas office is in Fayetteville.

Fairfield Inn donates linens to shelter

The Fayetteville Fairfield Inn recently donated about 700 sets of bath linens to Seven Hills Homeless Center, also in Fayetteville.

The hotel at 4000 South St., owned and operated by TMI Hospitality of Fargo, N.D., replaced all its bath linens and donated them to the center.

“We feel that within this normal process of doing business is an opportunity to make a difference in the communities we serve,” said Sid Lien, TMI Hospitality’s vice president of procurement.

Arvest Bank’s Jeans Days net $28,000

Arvest Bank associates raised more than $28,000 through participation in Jeans Days in 2012 for donation to various Northwest Arkansas charities.

Arvest Bank branches throughout Northwest Arkansas participate in the Jeans Days program, either regularly each week or periodically throughout the year. Each associate gives a donation, usually between $2 and $5, to wear jeans to work on the designated days. Those funds are collected and donated throughout the year to more than 40 charities.

Among the many local charities receiving donations for 2012 were Ozark Guidance Center, EOA Children’s House, Seven Hills Homeless Center, Prairie Grove Senior Center, Manna Center and Rebuilding Together of Northwest Arkansas.

Cesar Chavez event honors labor leaders

The Northwest Arkansas Workers Justice Center will honor local labor leaders in its second Cesar Chavez Commemoration Dinner. The public event is 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 224 N. East Ave., in Fayetteville.

The keynote speaker will be Saru Jayaraman, co-founder and co-director of the Restaurant Opportunities Centers United. She co-founded the centers in New York City after the events of Sept. 11, 2001, displaced workers.

Individual tickets are $25; student or worker members $15.
