Iowa rolls past Stony Brook

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Roy Devyn Marble scored 28 points to help Iowa hold off Stony Brook 75-63 on Friday in the second round of the NIT.

Aaron White added 13 points and seven rebounds for Iowa (23-12). The Hawkeyes have won nine of their past 12 games.

Iowa went on a 13-3 run to build a 10-point lead after the game was tied 41-41 early in the second half. Mike Gesell, who did not start because of a foot injury, came off the bench to spark the run with a three-pointer and an assist on Melsahn Basabe’s dunk.

Jameel Warney scored 17 points and Anthony Jackson had 15 for the Seawolves (25-8). BAYLOR 89, ARIZONA ST. 86

WACO, Texas - Pierre Jackson had 26 points and had 16 assists to lead Baylor past Arizona State.

Cory Jefferson added 21 points and Brady Heslip had 14 for Baylor (20-14).

Carrick Felix scored 23 points to lead Arizona State (22-13). Jahii Carson - the top-scoring freshman in the country - had 20 points, Chris Colvin scored 15 and Evan Gordon 14.
