The Fayetteville Future Fund will host an inaugural crawfish boil and basketball watch party as part of its membership drive.
The charitable fund is part of the Fayetteville Area Community Foundation tailored for young professionals who want to be involved but can’t make large monetary gifts yet. By pooling their donations, they are able to help more organizations.
Members donate to the fund and then vote on which charities benefit from the combined contributions. The group, which was founded in 2012, dispersed $9,000in grants at its first awards party last fall.
