PINE BLUFF - The 16-year-old suspect arrested earlier this week in the Sunday slaying of William Roby Jr. will be charged as an adult, according to the Jefferson County prosecutor’s office.
Curtis Ladd Jr. of North Little Rock is being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond on charges of first-degree murder.
Roby, 22, of Pine Bluff, was found shot Sunday about 8:35 p.m. after officers were dispatched to the area of 3009 Ash St. Roby was transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead by Deputy Coroner David Westbrook.
Ladd’s next court appearance is May 1.
