PREP BASEBALL NOTEBOOK: Fayetteville’s Arnold Reaches State Baseball Milestone

Vance Arnold, Fayetteville coach, won the 500th game of his career in a 10-0 victory against Rogers on March 12.

Fayetteville baseball coach Vance Arnold has accomplished what few others have on the high school level in the state of Arkansas. Last week, Arnold added another milestone to his impressive list of achievements.

McDonald Comes Up Aces

Matt McDonald, Springdale High senior, has played a key role in Springdale’s 2-0 start in the 6A/7A-West Conference. Last week against Siloam Springs, McDonald drove in five runs and pitched a complete-game one-hitter in a Springdale doubleheader sweep.
