Lake Fort Smith State Park in Mountainburg will host Cold-Blooded Critter Weekend on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the park’s visitors center, 15458 Shepherd Springs Road.

Events begin with a turtle topography program at 3 p.m.

Friday, followed by a spring peeper hike at 7 p.m.

A snake safety awareness program kicks off Saturday events at 12:30 p.m. Reptile mania, which features native snakes and a juvenile alligator, will follow from 1-3 p.m.

A program on the diverse species of frogs that inhabit Lake Fort Smith will begin at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, followed by a second spring peeper hike at 7 p.m.

Guests can watch display reptiles be fed as part of a critter crunch at 12:30 p.m. Sunday.
