Hillary Rodham Clinton, the former secretary of state, has endorsed same-sex marriage in a video released by the advocacy group Human Rights Campaign, a reversal of her stance during her 2008 presidential campaign, during which she supported civil unions but said that decisions about the legality of marriage should be left to the states.
