FAYETTEVILLE - An Oklahoma man was injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday evening.
The 54-year-old man was westbound on Wedington Drive in Fayetteville about 5:30 p.m. when he drove into a ditch near 85th Street, said Sgt. Shannon Gabbard of the Fayetteville Police Department.
Gabbard said the motorcyclist attempted to pass a car that was also westbound, and failed to see that the car was turning left off of Wedington.
The man avoided a collision and drove into the ditch. He was thrown from the motorcycle and transported to Washington Regional Medical Center, Gabbard said.
