Variety show benefits athletes

The spring dinner and variety show fundraiser for Elizabeth Richardson Center athletes will begin at 5:30 p.m. April 3 at the Springdale Senior Center, 203 Park St. in Springdale, with the show starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets at the door are $6 each.

Proceeds benefit the unified sports program for Elizabeth Richardson Center participants in softball, volleyball and bowling.

Volunteers from the senior center make and serve the semiannual dinner, which is followed by a variety show of music, dance and skits by ERC participants.

Women host author Holt

Registration is now open for the April 4 spring event of the Northwest Arkansas Region of the Network of Executive Women featuring best-selling author Mary Beth Holt.

Holt, an executive coach and expert on business, women and leadership, will give advice on how executives can move their careers “forward, faster.” She willshare her insights and her new rules for success. Holt is a popular speaker and co-author of the New York Times bestseller, “Break Your Own Rules: How to Change the Patterns of Thinking that Block Women’s Paths to Power.”

The event will kick off with networking at 11 a.m.

followed by lunch and the speaker at 11:45 a.m. at Embassy Suites, 3303 Pinnacle Hills Parkway in Rogers.

Registration is $40 for new members and $50 for nonmembers.

Red Cross seeks blood

March is Red Cross Month and the American Red Cross is encouraging people to support their communities.
