Quilters

The Bella Vista Nyte Tyme Quilters will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the United Lutheran Church on the corner of Cooper and Arkansas 279 (Forest Hills Boulevard).

This month’s program will be a demonstration by Sheila Piccolo on “Kaleidoscope.”

The quilters usually meet the third Monday of every month except December.

New and experienced quilters are welcome.

Kingsdale Squares

The Kingsdale Squares will dance from 7 to 9 p.m.

Lions Club

The Bella Vista Lions Club will meet at 5:45 p.m.

Tuesday for a dinner buffet meeting at Concordia Retirement Center’s main building, 1 Concordia Drive.

Sunflower Club

The Kansas Sunflower Club will meet at 11 a.m.

March 25 at the Village Insurance community room in Bella Vista. Pizza will be ordered, and those attending may bring a small salad or dessert. Ralph Mathey will give a program on his work in Haiti.

All former Kansas residents are welcome to attend.

Genealogical Society

The Northwest Arkansas Genealogical Society will meet at 6 p.m. March 25 at the Bentonville Public Library, 405 S. Main St. The program will be a presentation on orphan trains. The public is welcome.

Quilts of Love

Granny’s Quilts of Love will meet for the next sewing work day at 9:30 a.m.

Tuesday at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church in Pea Ridge.

Mercedes-Benz Club

Members and invited guests of the Ozark section of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America will visit HotSprings March 22-23. On Friday and Saturday nights, they will stay at a hotel and meet in its hospitality room. On Saturday, they will watch the races at Oaklawn from reserved tables in the racetrack’s Carousel Terrace room. As the sponsor of one of the races, they will be photographed with that race’s winning horse at the finish line.

The section usually meets the second Saturday of each month. Times and locations vary, depending on the nature of the event.

Event categories are driving, entertainment, social, educational, charitable, technical, exhibit and awards. Owning a Mercedes is not required.

Ladies Day Out

Bella Vista’s Ladies Day Out will go to the Shiloh Museum in Springdale Tuesday to hear about “Stills in the Hills.” They will meet at 10:15 a.m. at the Village Bible Free Evangelical Church across from Bella Vista’s Town Center Arvest Bank.

Lunch will follow at Mary Maestri’s.

Deihl Club

Deihl Toastmasters Club next meets at 8 p.m. Thursday at Village Insurance community room, 2838 Bella Vista Way in Bella Vista.

Meetings are held the first and third Thursday of every month to improve public speaking and leadership skills. Visitors are always welcome.

Quilters United

The location of the March meeting of Quilters United in Learning Together has been moved. The guild will meet at 7 p.m. March 28 at the Washington County Extension Service office on the campus of the Washington County Fairgrounds, 2536 N. McConnell Ave. in Fayetteville.

Internationally recognized quilter Klaudeen Hansen will be the speaker.

She is also judging quilts which will be exhibited at the guild’s Tomorrow’s Heirlooms XIV show, set for April 12-13 at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Bentonville. Hansen will talk about the importance of quilt shows.

Retired Teachers

The Washington County Retired Teachers Association will meet Monday in the Razorback room at the Golden Corral near the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville. Members need to come as early as 11 a.m.

if possible to register and pay. The buffet meal starts at 11:30 a.m. followed by the program for Women’s History Month. The business meeting will begin at 12:15 p.m.

Anyone who is 55, retired and has been involved in education in any way is welcome.

Republican Women

The Benton County Republican Women will meet for their monthly business meeting at noon Tuesday at the Golden Corral in Rogers. Swearing in of 2013-14 officers will take place.

Democrats Club

The Benton County Democrats’ monthly meeting and luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. March 25 at the Elks Lodge at 501 S. 40th St. in Rogers.

The speaker will be Robbyn Tumey, president and chief executive officer of MSI. A member of the Benton County Election Commission, Tumey is a past chairman of the Benton County Democratic Central Committee. Her topic willbe “Democrats and Teamwork in a Highly Charged Political Atmosphere.”

Senior Democrats

Matt Cleveland of Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Rancheswill speak at the Senior Democrats of Northwest Arkansas meeting at 11:30 a.m.

Tuesday at the Western Sizzlin, 3492 W. Sunset Ave. in Springdale. The lunch buffet is $10.

The Kansas Club will have its spring meeting at 5p.m. April 13 at Papa Mike’s at Kingsdale in Bella Vista.

A buffet will be served at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $12 per person and includes the meal, tax, gratuity and entertainment. Payment is due by April 6.
