He is retired owner/operator of Thornton Masonry. They are the parents of Todd Thornton of Malvern and Rodney Thornton of Lake Hamilton. The couple have three grandchildren.

Virginia and Thad Spence of North Little Rock have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple were married March 14, 1953. She is the former Virginia Howell and a retired registered nurse. He is retired from Spence Sales Associates Inc. They are the parents of Bryan Spence of North Little Rock and Jan Robertson of Little Rock. The couple have two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

DARDANELLE - June and Kenneth Taylor recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a surprise luncheon hosted by their children. The couple were married March 7, 1953. She is the former June Cannon. They are both retired government poultry graders and he is currently a Dardanelle alderman. They are the parents of Kerri Ball of Quitman and Rick Taylor of North Little Rock. The couple have six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

SEARCY - Una and Frank McClure will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary. The couple were married March 19, 1948. She is the former Una Hogan and retired from North Little Rock Housing Authority. He is retired as a civilian employee with the Air National Guard. They are the parents of Pam Reid of Searcy and Stan McLure of Irving, Texas. The couple have five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

BENTON - Laura and Donald Elmore have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple were married March 16, 1963. She is the former Laura Yeske and both are retired. They are the parents of David Elmore, Mark Elmore and Jason Elmore, all of Benton, and Jennifer Hurd of Bryant. The couple have two grandchildren.

ARKADELPHIA - Wanda and Vance Huneycutt have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a dinner party with family and friends. The couple were married March 3, 1963. She is the former Wanda Newton and retired after 45 years as a watchmaker/jeweler in Camden. He retired after 23 years with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department. They are the parents of Laurie Huneycutt of Arkadelphia.

ALEXANDER - Sharon and Woody Ussery plan to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an Alaskan cruise. The couple were married March 22, 1963. She is the former Sharon Brown and retired from Coca-Cola. He is a retired truck driver. They are the parents of Kellye Harsch and have three grandchildren.

The couple were married March 21, 1963. She is the former Robbie Ann Lasiter and a retired elementary school teacher for North Little Rock Public Schools. He is a retired chief executive officer for American Truck & Rail Audits. They are the parents of Summer Bartczak, Shan Scott and Sundi Scott, all of North Little Rock. The couple have eight grandchildren.
