Welker to Denver After spending six years with Tom Brady in New England, Pro Bowl wide receiver Wes Welker agreed to a two-year deal Wednesday to team up with Peyton Manning in Denver. Welker’s signing was the highlight of a big day for the Broncos, who made another major splash in free agency. Denver also came to terms on a twoyear deal with defensive tackle Terrance Knighton, formerly of Jacksonville, and on a one-year contract with linebacker Stewart Bradley, who played with the Cardinals the past two seasons. 3CBetter in relief From the time they can throw a ball or swing a bat, hundreds of thousands of youngsters dream of hitting 40 home runs or being a 20-game winner.
