Arrest made in Saturday Springdale shooting

Police have arrested a man in connection with shooting another man in the leg Saturday, according to a news release from the Springdale Police Department.

Marcos Mendoza, 33, was arrested in connection with attempted murder, according to the news release.

Antonio Jimenez was shot in the leg after an argument broke out at residence shared by Jimenez, Mendoza and Mendoza's wife, according to the news release.

Mendoza is reported to have shot Jimenez in the leg before placing the gun to his head, the news release stated. Jimenez knocked the gun away from his head as it discharged and fled in his vehicle, according to the news release.
