500 To Spend Day Aiding Nonprofits

United Way Holds Event Annually

NWA Media/ANTHONY REYES Julie Petree, manager of marketing and communication for the United Way of Northwest Arkansas, hands Alicia Burch, with Signature Bank, a bag filled with t-shirts Monday, March 11, 2013 at the United Way offices in Lowell. The Bank will have volunteers participating in the Day of Caring on Wednesday and the volunteers are given the shirts to wear while volunteering. Approximately 500 volunteers are signed up to provide 40 non-profits with aid.

Nearly 500 people across Northwest Arkansas will have a day away from the office Wednesday.
