North Little Rock claims first state title since 1971

North Little Rock MVP Kevaughn Allen is carried off the floor at Barton Coliseum by teammate Derrick Holloway (23) after the Charging Wildcats defeated Fayetteville 64-52 for the Class 7A championship. The victory was the 27th consecutive for top-ranked North Little Rock.

Fayetteville grabbed a lead on North Little Rock during the fourth quarter of Saturday’s boys Class 7A state championship game.
