100 YEARS AGO March 9, 1913 Commuted the death of W. S. Rhea to life imprisonment. Performed the marriage ceremony that united Miss Berta Merriwether of Memphis and his former private secretary, Walter G. Hendricks, whom he recently appointed judge of the Third Division of the Pulaski and Perry Circuit Court.
