Bracing to let traffic flow till full repairs

Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department crews begin work Friday on reinforcing concrete columns on the Young Road overpass at Interstate 40 in North Little Rock after Thursday’s fi ery crash.
An Interstate 40 overpass in North Little Rock that was heavily damaged when a tractor-trailer rig slammed into it Thursday, igniting a deadly fireball and snarling traffic, is expected to be stabilized enough today to allow some vehicles to cross it until a permanent fix can be made, the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department said Friday.
