Haas Halls Plans For Free-Standing Campus

Posted: March 9, 2013 at 2:55 a.m.

A new Haas Hall campus designed by Miller, Boskus and Lack is being considered, according to Martin Schoppmeyer, school superintendent. The project would require a fundraising campaign. There is no timetable for fundraising or construction.

From its beginning in a dairy barn to classrooms in an old restaurant and fitness center, Haas Hall Academy may be on the verge of another move.

Charter Schools

Haas Hall and the Benton County School of the Arts are the only two charter high schools open in Northwest Arkansas. Both are open enrollment schools, meaning they can draw students from across district boundaries. Haas Hall has students from Washington, Benton and Madison counties. All charter schools in Arkansas are public schools and are free to attend for any student.
