New gateway links Fort Smith, Chaffee Crossing hiking, biking trails

Bob Robinson, author of the Bicycling Guide to the Mississippi River Trail, drew on his extensive mountain biking experience to design 15 miles of interconnected trails through the wooded and rocky hills of Ben Geren Regional Park on the eastern city limits of Fort Smith.

Fort Smith, a city with a history of True Grit and a modern industrial character, is putting a more aesthetic and recreationally friendly face on its eastern environs.
