Highway crashes kill 2 Arkansans

— A pair of Arkansans died this weekend in fatal crashes, according to Arkansas State Police reports.

At 8:11 p.m. Saturday, Jennifer Tucker, 37, of 427 Alcorn St. in Hot Springs, was headed south on Arkansas 7 in Bismarck when her vehicle went off the roadway.

It struck the guardrail on the right side of the road, overturned, then traveled up an embankment and struck a tree, throwing Tucker from the vehicle.

At 2:40 a.m. Sunday, a car flipped along Arkansas 1 in Desha County, killing a Star City man.

Johnathan Golden, 17, of Lake Village, was driving south in his 1999 Pontiac Grand Am on Arkansas 1 when he lost control on a right-hand curve and struck a railroad sign near Wolfe Project Road.

The vehicle went across the tracks, reports said, and flipped over, killing Nathan Kellebrew, 20.
