100 YEARS AGO March 3, 1913 “Our school board cannot afford to disregard the wholesale denunciation of the dance, by the Christian church, and force upon the Christian teachers and the Christian taxpayers and patrons of the public school that which is a grave offense to Christian conscience,” said the Rev. A.O. Evans at Ashbury Methodist church yesterday.
