SPORTS CALENDAR BASKETBALL A Summer Basketball League is being offered by the Rogers Activity Center. The league will be open to students in grades 5-8 for the 2013-14 academic school year. Cost for registration is $60. Each participant must have a current RAC membership ($20). Separate boys and girls teams will be formed.
Each team will practice once or twice per week and play two games per week with a maximum of eight games in the season. Program will start Monday and run through Aug. 2. FBC Centerton Upward Basketball Camp will be held July 29-Aug. 2 in the church gymnasium. Camp sessions will be from 6 to 9 p.m. for fi rst through sixth grade boys/girls. Campers will receive a ball that can be taken home on the last day of camp.
Early registration cost per child is $40. After July 19, cost increases to $50 per camper. Deadline for registration is July 26. Forms can be picked up at FBC Centerton and may be returned or mailed to P.O.

FOOTBALL Registration for the Rogers Activity Center’s Adult Flag Football season will be taken Monday through Aug. 19 at the RogersActivity Center. The entire entry fee will be due when the roster is turned in. The entry fee is $500 per team. League games will begin the week of Sept. 3. Each team will play one to two games per week.
Teams will receive 10 games. The season will last about eight weeks.

NWA Youth Sports fall tackle football signups are July 21-28 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Aug.
3, 10, 17 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Academy Sports and Outdoors locations in Fayetteville and Rogers. The cost is $70.

LACROSSE The Rogers Activity Center and the NWA LAX Club will hold a four-week Lacrosse Academy for boys and girls in grades 3-12. The
sessions are held on Tuesday and
Thursday of each week from 6:30 to
8:30 p.m. The academy will be held
at Forester Park and the fee is $60
per session. A $20 RAC membership
is required. Equipment needed
includes a lacrosse stick, lacrosse
helmert, lacrosse goggles and a
mouthpiece. Some equipment will
