School District Losing Three Assistant Principals

BENTONVILLE — Three assistant principals informed the Bentonville School District this week they have accepted  jobs in other districts.

Jason Jedamski is leaving after four years as assistant principal at Bentonville High School. He will become director of student activities with the school district in Broken Arrow, Okla.

“It was really hard to make the decision to go,” said Jedamski, who is from Oklahoma.

Jedamski was director of Camp of Champs, a three-day leadership camp for teens that was held for the second straight year earlier this month.

The district has asked anyone interested in Jedamski’s position to email Chad Scott at [email protected] by Friday.

Two other assistant principals leaving the district are Martha Tompkins of Mary Mae Jones Elementary School and Stephanie Summerford of Elm Tree Elementary School, according to Superintendent Michael Poore.

Summerford has accepted a central office job in the Gentry School District, and Tompkins has accepted a job in the Springdale School District, Poore said.

“All of these folks are valued employees that we hate to lose,” Poore said.
