Government Appointments

Gov. Mike Beebe announced the following appointments to boards and commissions Monday.

Charlotte Bradley , Hope, reappointed to the state Board of Electrical Examiners, for a term expiring June 15, 2017.

Ben Brazzel, Hope, to the state Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, for a term expiring June 1, 2016, replacing Eddie Hawkins.

Una Carroll, North Little Rock, reappointed to the Universal Newborn Hearing, Screening, Tracking and Intervention Advisory Board, for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2016.

Mary Crook, Little Rock, reappointed to the Governor’s Developmental Disability Council, for a term expiring June 30, 2018.

Tina Davis, North Little Rock, to the Governor’s Developmental Disability Council, for a term expiring June 30, 2018, replacing Janice Fortner.

Ronda Gray, Malvern, reappointed to the Governor’s Developmental Disabilities Council, for a term expiring June 30, 2018.

David Elam, Danville, to the Arkansas Agriculture Board, for a term expiring Aug. 18, 2013, replacing Josh Allen.

Jonathan Fulkerson, Marion, reappointed to the Commission on Closing the Achievement Gap in Arkansas, for a term expiring March 15, 2017.

David Guntharp, Jonesboro, reappointed to the Arkansas Crime Information Center Supervisory Board, for a term expiring June 30, 2017.

Brian Haggard, Fayetteville, to the Arkansas-Oklahoma Joint Study Committee, for a term expiring Feb. 20, 2016. This is a new position.

Marty Matlock, Fayetteville, to the Arkansas-Oklahoma Joint Study Committee, for a term expiring Feb. 20, 2016. This is a new position.

Vivian Hoskins, Helena-West Helena, to the Delta Cultural Center Policy Advisory Board, for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2015, replacing Kinah Brown.

Donna Hutchinson, Rogers, to the Board of Visitors for the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts, for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2018, replacing Julie Mullinex.

Rubye Johnson, Marion, reappointed to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Board of Visitors, for a term expiring Jan. 14, 2020.

James “Mike” Jones, Dumas, reappointed to the Housing Trust Fund Advisory Committee, for a term expiring Oct. 12, 2016.

Russell “Rusty” Kinder, Swifton, to the Jackson County Quorum Court, District 1, for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2014, replacing Joe Kinder.

Junior Phillips, North Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas Towing and Recovery Board, for a termexpiring June 22, 2016.

Mary Thoma, Siloam Springs, reappointed to the Arkansas Towing and Recovery Board, for a term expiring June 22, 2016.

Darrell Pickney, Hoxie, to the Board of Developmental Disabilities Services, for a term expiring Jan. 15, 2020, replacing Ron Carmack.

Frank Richardson, Osceola, reappointed to the Arkansas Northeastern College board of trustees, for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2018.

Patti Rogers, Greenbrier, to the Arkansas Independent Living Council. Appointee serves at the will of the governor, replacing Cheryl Vines.

Herman Shirley, North Little Rock, reappointed to the state Board of Optometry, for a term expiring April 26, 2018.

Steven Smith, Mountain Home, reappointed to the Arkansas Deaf and Hearing Impaired Telecommunications Services Corp., for a term expiring June 1, 2016.

Tommy Walker, Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas Deaf and Hearing Impaired Telecommunications Services Corp., for a term expiring June 1, 2016.

Kathryn Spinks, Conway, to the Arkansas Occupational Therapy Examining Committee, for a term expiring March 1, 2018, replacing Jackie Henderson.

William Troutt, Lake Village, reappointed to the Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board, for a term expiring June 30, 2015.

Brad Graham, Portland, reappointed to the Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board, for a term expiring June 30, 2015.

Joseph Williamson, Lake Village, reappointed to the Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board, for a term expiring June 30, 2015.

William Watson, Fayetteville, to the Arkansas Scenic Resources Preservation Coordinating Committee, for a term expiring Oct. 1, 2015, replacing Randy Mizell.

Donna White, Murfreesboro, to the state Board of Dental Examiners, for a term expiring Sept. 1, 2017, replacing Ryan Solomon.
