Body pulled from water behind Burns Park

A body discovered by officers Saturday morning in Pulaski County is being investigated, officials said.

The North Little Rock police department found the body around 10:30 a.m. and contacted the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, according to a news release.

PCSO spokesman Lt. Carl Minden said the sheriff’s office sent investigators and water patrol to “backwater” about a mile from the Burns Park boat ramp where the body of an unidentified white male was pulled from the water.

The body was taken to the state Crime Laboratory to be identified and to determine the cause of death, Minden said.

No further details were immediately available Saturday.
