Fifty Shades of Grey parody set Saturday

The Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville will host Spank!

The Fifty Shades Parody at 8 p.m. Saturday. The musical is a takeoff of E.L. James’ popular Fifty Shades trilogy.

Spank! is a comedy that re-imagines the characters in the trilogy. Tickets cost $20-$45.

Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area near Rogers will host a three-hour beginning backpacking workshop from 1-4 p.m.

Sunday.

Scott Branyan, a seasoned backpacker, will teach the workshop. The workshop is geared toward families and adults and will include a gear show-and-tell, slides and recommended resources.

Topics to be covered include equipment basics, how to get in shape, what to expect while backpacking, maps and planning tools, preparing food, dealing with emergencies, wildlife encounters and keeping a clean camp.

Cost to attend is $35; registration is limited to 15 participants. More information is available by calling (479) 789-5000.
