Hastings is closing its Springdale store Aug. 9. The Fayetteville store closed earlier this month.
Management stated in a press release the stores closed because profits were not high enough.Approximately 35 full- and part-time employees will lose their jobs.
The company is a multimedia entertainment retailer that sells new and used books, videos, video games and CDs, rents videos and video games. Stores also sell consumer electronics, snack food and trend products such as T-shirts, action figures, posters and greeting cards.
