Rausch Named Interim Manager Of Utility

ROGERS — Earl Rausch, a design engineer at the Rogers Water Utilities, was appointed interim general manager after Craig Noble resigned Friday.

“We aren’t sure when or what type of search we will do this time to find a general manager,” said Don Kendall, chairman of the Rogers Waterworks and Sewer Commission.

“We want to talk to some of the employees to assess what the needs are as a general manager. After we’ve had a chance to talk to the employees, we will make a decision on how to conduct the search,” he said.

Noble resigned Friday following a 45-minute executive session. Kendall said Friday he wouldn’t elaborate on the commission’s decision to accept Noble’s resignation. Noble said he was looking at new opportunities and didn’t answer any other questions.

Noble was hired in August 2012 after a four-month national search for general manager to replace Tom McAlister, who served as general manager of the utility for more than 27 years. Nobel was in charge of Russellville water and sewer facilities when he was named Rogers’ general manager. He reported for work in September 2012, his last day at the utility will be July 5.
