There are two telling points in Art Hobson’s column on the universe (June 16) contained in two sentences.
He states: All life on earth is related chemically and “probably” originated from a single source 3.8 million years ago.” Probably? So it’s not settled science. It’s still just an unproven “theory.
His next sentence is “The details are lost in deep time.” So the science doesn’t exist for a theory. Mr. Hobson could well be writing about a myth without proof, if taken at his word. Maybe he’s looking in the wrong place.
