Portions of the Pea Ridge Military Park horse trail will be closed weekdays through July 1 for restoration work. The trail will be open on the weekend.
“The park is restoring the cultural landscape by removal of cedar trees, an invasive species, to promote oak regeneration,” Superintendent John Scott said in a news release.
A map showing the closed portion and alternate route will be available in the Visitor Center.
Visitors are encouraged to call the park at 479-451-8122 prior to their arrival to check the status of the horse trails.
