Beating, Robbery Suspect Arrested Again

SPRINGDALE — A suspect in a robbery and beating that sent a man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries was arrested again after another person said he also was beaten and robbed.

J’Donte Britt, 18, of 321 Braxton Ave. in Springdale was arrested Sunday in connection with felony robbery, continuing criminal enterprise and misdemeanor third degree battery. A juvenile told police while he was at Brookhaven Apartments on June 6, Britt hit him, knocking him out, according to police records. When the juvenile woke up, he told police, he was missing $10.

The juvenile told police he didn’t report the theft and beating because he was afraid of Britt, who claimed to be part of the Bloods gang, according to police records.

Police could still see bruises on the juvenile from the beating, according to records.

The arrest was made at the Washington County Detention Center, where Britt is being held after he was arrested June 18 in connection with the robbery and beating of Jose Jesus Alvarez-Meja, 35, of Springdale. Timmie Robinson, 18, and a juvenile also were arrested in connection with that incident.

Alvarez-Meja was flown from Northwest Medical Center-Springdale to the trauma center at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo. Alvarez-Meja was still hospitalized Monday, police said.

Britt and Robinson were in the detention center on Monday, Robinson in lieu of $100,000 bond and Britt in lieu of $175,000 bond.
