COQUILLE, Ore. — A 38-year-old has been arrested in a case that began earlier this month when a State Police bomb squad destroyed improvised explosive devices found in a Coos Bay home.

The World newspaper reports that Coos County sheriff's deputies arrested 38-year-old Jay Yarbrough near Powers, southeast of Coos Bay. He had been sought on explosives and other charges, including domestic assault.

Deputies said they'd learned he was camping on an island in the South Fork Coquille River.

The sheriff's office says 48-year-old Tina Rossback of Coos Bay also was arrested, accused of harboring a fugitive. They were booked after police pulled over a flatbed pickup truck on Sunday.

The devices came to the attention of Coos Bay officers June 12 as they were investigating a domestic violence report.
