Meeting focuses on overpass plan

MAYFLOWER - The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department will hold a public meeting Tuesday to discuss plans to build a new Union Pacific Railroad overpass on Arkansas 89, also called Miller Street,in Mayflower.

The work could result in the realignment of Arkansas 89 near the overpass, according to department officials. The meeting will be held from 4-7 p.m. in the cafeteria at Mayflower Elementary School, 4 Grove St.in Mayflower.
