Man faces charges in Conway killing

CONWAY - A Morrilton man was arrested on a capital-murder charge Friday after a shooting death last Sunday outside a Conway motel.

Lee Foster, 27, was being held in the Faulkner County jail without bail in the early Sunday death of Quenton Alexander, 23, of Conway, Conway police spokesman LaTresha Woodruff said. Foster also was charged with first-degree battery in the wounding of another man outside Motel 6 at 1105 Skyline Drive, Woodruff said.

She did not have the name of the second victim, who lives in Vilonia, but she said police believe he was shot only because he saw Foster at the crime scene.

Foster was denied bail during a hearing Friday afternoon.

A woman police believe was romantically involved with Foster - Sierra Cook, 18, of Morrilton - was charged Friday with hindering his apprehension. Her bail was set at $250,000.

“We know that Alexander and Foster had an ongoing dispute,” Woodruff said.

Alexander was shot while sitting in a car in the motel parking lot, she said.

Police also have recovered the handgun that they believe was used in the crimes, Woodruff said.

Both suspects face a July 8 arraignment in Faulkner County Circuit Court.
