New Home Church in Bentonville, 12767 Peach Orchard Road, hosts the Old-Fashioned Community Singing from 2 to 4 p.m.

Admission is free, but a basket will be available for donations to help preserve the 1896 church building.

Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, 6 W. Dickson St., presented a check for $26,000 June 13 to Cooperative Emergency Outreach for acquiring andremodeling a new facility in south Fayetteville.

CEO offers help to Washington County families during financial emergencies. Local churches contribute about 60 percent of CEO’s resources. The organization has mounted a fundraising campaign to raise $400,000 for its new headquarters.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers, 1101 W.

Hudson Road, celebrates Laymen’s Sunday. Elders lead worship services at 8 a.m.

and 10:45 a.m. Thamburaj Samuel, a layman who works with Christians from India, speaks.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., presents “Home of the Brave,” a patriotic performance of choir and orchestra, at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. June 30. The concert is free, but tickets are available from the church office or website.

St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church in Bella Vista, 1 St. Bernard Lane, will hold a “Litany for Liberty” service from 7 to 8 p.m.

Thursday in the church sanctuary. The service is a celebration of a Fortnight of Freedom, a two-week period of prayer and action to address many current challenges to religious liberty, according to the UnitedStates Conference of Catholic Bishops website.

St. Bernard will present the Land of the Lakes Choirboys from Elk River, Minn., in concert at 6:30 p.m. July 3.

A potluck meal is planned for 5 p.m.

First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive, sponsors the Summer Seeksucker Social, with a concert and dessert auction, at 5 p.m.

Sunday in Becker Hall. The Contemporary Praise Band sings.

Hot dog meals are $3, with funds going for a soundsystem upgrade for the hall.

United Methodist Women meet for a quarterly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The program is “12 Months of Birthdays,” featuring the art of decorating cakes by Tiffany’s Cakes. Tickets are $7, and must be purchased from the church office by Sunday.

Highlands United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, 371 Glasgow Road, presents the Morales family, missionaries in Colombia, during the Sunday Traditions service at 10 a.m. June 30. A reception follows.

A new Bible study starts July 2, focusing on the Francis Chan book, “Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless God.” The 10-week class meets at 6 p.m. each Thursday.

Final bids will be tallied in a silent auction of five-inch-byfive-inch artwork contributed by members.

The monthly potluck and Sunday cinema follows the worship service June 30. The movie, “Whaledreamers,” focuses on a tribal culture involving whales. An offering is taken.
