Where I live: My husband and I live in the Sandalwood neighborhood of Sherwood with a teenager and a toddler.
Occupation: Teacher for the Little Rock School District. Currently working in the ESL (English as a Second Language) department as the ESL/SIOP Instructional Specialist.

ving room.
Why? While house-hunting, we went to an Open House. We went inside into the living area, and I said, “This is it!” After walking through the rest of the house, our thoughts were confirmed.But it’s in the living room that we live. It is the dining room and kitchen too. It’s all one big open space overlooking our backyard. Coming home and seeing my family enjoying the same space - not sequestered in separate rooms - fills my heart. It is our common room and we love spending time in it.
If I could do one thing to improve this space, I would: Come up with a solid “theme” for this diverse space. Everything we have is a mishmash of our life. This will probably not happen for a while - the 3-year-old and her toys have taken ownership of a significant amount of space.
